A dense network of local and nationally known hiking and cycling trails is inviting you to explore the fascinating Luther | Bauhaus | Garden Kingdom region by bike.
From Aken onwards the European Cycle Route R1 goes along the Elbe River up to Vockerode and to the Bauhaus City of Dessau-Rosslau and on to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz. From here you will cycle through the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve including Oranienbaum.
The Prince Franz Garden Kingdom Tour, named after the Prince Leopold III. Frederick Franz of Anhalt-Dessau, connects the palaces and gardens within the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz.
Lockable bicycle boxes, used as a safe storage for your bicycles and luggage, are available in many places. Please find a list here:
